So I have come across some great ideas on what to do with the wedding
dress. A friend of mine who is a terrific photographer
(http://www.modelmayhem.com/1701254) suggested a trash the dress photo
shoot. I'm in love with this idea. Of course I do have those who say I
should save it for my daughter. I have been told by her on numerous
occasions that she absolutely, would not like me to keep my wedding
dress for her, so that ones out.
I did come across some hysterical pictures of ex-brides playing
paintball in their wedding dresses. I wonder if I put an ad on
craigslist if I could come up with enough ladies in the area who would
love to do this. What to do with my Wedding Dress now that my divorce is final...

The Dress....
My wedding dress was something that I wanted badly during my divorce. Not that I had any plans on using it to get remarried, noooo. I was planning on some grand send-a-way for the dress when I signed my divorce papers. The wedding dress is such a hugh part of the start of everything that I just thought it needed to be a huge part of the end. It seemed more formal then any paper I was going to sign.
I thought about ripping it apart, that's the seamstress in me. I'm courious about the construction of it. Then what was I to do with the rememnents, make a pillow for my bed? I think not. There is of the idea that the dress should be set on fire in front of all my friends at a huge bonfire. I can picture the dress atop the bonfire being displayed on a form so we can watch the flames rise up and engulf it as if this will release me in some symbolic way. Then the thought occured to me, I only have one chance to do this right. So now I'm wondering what everyone else has done with their dress, or rings, or anything else that they took in their divorce that they wanted to distroy or sell. I need ideas....
